We're grateful for everyone's involvement in making a difference. The event will be filmed for a documentary, respecting participants' privacy, if you don‘t want to be recorded. Saturday, 11 may

Beach CleanUP Day

12:00 – Meet all together at »La Pérgola de la Marina« for a briefing and to distribute materials and equipment. The clips for picking up the trash are limited - so these will be handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Beach CleanUP – We will all set off together to CleanUP the beach for approx. 1 hour, and will walk the length of Malvarrosa Beach to the starting point of Patagona Beach. On the round square next to »restaurante Malvarrosa« we will start to separate the collected trash, learn about the ocean and work together on a creative art project - all for a great cause!

Afterwards – It's time to relax! Feel free to stay after the workshop to grab a bite to eat, take a dip in the sea or get prepared for an amazing and hopefully sunny Yoga session.

18:00 – Join Jennison for a incredible one hour Beach Yoga session in the Golden Hour! Wrap up the day with soothing yoga, and celebrate a successful day of making an environmental difference and community action.

Come and enjoy a full day of community and joy, and make memories and a difference, together.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • We will not be providing gloves (but we have limited clippers), so if you feel more comforable, bring a pair of reusable garden gloves or similar. Please try to avoid single-use plastics, if possible.
  • Because of a lot micro-plastic at the beach, you can bring a sieve, if you like to collect it that way
  • Bring drinks, some snacks, sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable clothes. Then anything else you think necessary for the planned activities; swimsuits, yoga clothes, towels, etc...
  • For Yoga: a towl and water

How to join the Movement.

We would LOVE it, if you could join us for the full day, however, you are more than welcome to participate in individual activities, too. Whether you join us just for the beach CleanUP, the workshop session, the art project, or the social community side of it - it's up to you. Every individual action counts towards a better future.

Hi! I am Anni

I am studying communication design for my bachelor's degree and work part-time at PATRON e.V.. With their support, I organise my own CleanUP at the beach in Valencia. That‘s also the start of a new movement called "PATRON Divisions", where everyone can organise their own CleanUP with a little support, no matter where.

At the same time, the project is my bachelor thesis, in which I will document the organisation and the CleanUP Days on film. In the end it will be a 15-20 min documentary. I want to create a bachelor's project with added value and do my bit for the environment. I am so excited and have no idea what to expect from my first self-organised CleanUP, but I'm looking forward to every single one who takes part!
