PATRON stands for the vision of a nature free of plastic waste. As a non-profit organisation, we have set ourselves the goal of taking an active role in the restoration and preservation of natural places. With our CleanUP events and workshops, we want to initiate an intrinsic change of consciousness and inspire people to awaken the protective instinct within themselves.
A lot has happened since the first litter collection campaign in the Allgäu region in 2019. In 2022 alone, over 8,000 volunteers travelled more than 7,000 kilometres in the German and Austrian Alpine region during CleanUP Days to join us in freeing nature from waste. In 2023, almost 20,000 PATRONs set off to get closer to the common goal of #plasticfreepeaks. This year, the PATRON CleanUP Tour is entering its fifth round.
The Educate pillar is an integral part of the association. We are driven by our love of the diverse and beautiful nature in the Allgäu. And thus the start of a great journey. Through workshops, courses and events, we want to get our message out there and, step by step, raise awareness for a life in harmony with nature - for safe and nature-friendly outdoor sports.
The association lives through and with the #patroncommunity. During and outside the CleanUP Days, events are organised that invite people to inform themselves, exchange ideas, take action and celebrate - be it at community hikes, CleanUP workshops, TrashArt projects or a #patronconcert. Because the whole thing is even more fun when doing it together and every success, no matter how small, can be celebrated in the community.
