Who we are. What we do. And why.

all about patron

Nature is our origin, our home. A place of tranquillity and the most powerful source of inspiration and creative energy. Together, we want to give something in return.

PATRON IS A COMMUNITY.

That is passionate about nature, committed to its protection and motivates others to join in. We strive for a future in which everyone awakens the patron (guardian) in them and takes action for nature conservation.

We inspire outdoor enthusiasts and institutions to take responsibility for nature and provide them with the resources they need to take action themselves.

Through activating events (ACT), hands-on workshops (EDUCATE) and eco-friendly equipment as well as targeted communication (CREATE), we raise awareness for nature conservation, enable sustainable action, invite exchange and encourage community - because every action counts.

"Always aim to leave this world better than how you found it."

OUR FUNDAMENT.

Is and remains our association's statutes.

As a non-profit organisation, we strictly ensure that we only work in areas that serve the purpose of our association. We have summarised these areas in our articles of association. Our organisational structure and the most important processes of the association's work are also set out in the articles of association. It is probably the most important document for us, and we don't want to withhold it from you!

Take a look at our articles of association.

ROOTS.

Perhaps you have already discovered it, the Patron snack box. We are often asked how the ‘Patron’ is connected to our association. The answer is quite simple: Our roots lie in the young GbR - Patron Plasticfree Peaks.

Martin and Raphael developed the Patron back in 2018 and immediately won the Allgäu Founder's Award. The following year, they organised the Allgäu Alps CleanUP Days for the first time - with great success. This voluntary part of their work quickly developed to such an extent that other supporters joined them and a single event became an entire CleanUP Tour. By now it was clear that a meaningful organisational structure was needed. So in 2021, our PATRON association was founded, making it possible for anyone to take on an active role and become part of the #plasticfreepeaks movement.

partner & friends.

Patron Plasticfree Peaks GbR still supports our work today. For every product purchased in the online shop, €1 is donated to the non-profit organisation and thus finances the organisation and further work around the CleanUP Days and workshops.
