Thank you, Lake Constance, for making a difference together again this year. Step by step & hand in hand towards #plasticfreepeaks & a nature free of plastic waste.
A big thanks goes out to our partners & sponsors of the Bodensee CleanUP Days 2025. We are really happy & proud to say that we are supported by you! Without you, the PATRON CleanUP Days and the organisation of the workshops, community hikes and concerts would not be possible in this form!
How do PATRON CleanUP Days work? Where and how can you register? And what happens at the event?
So many questions. Just as many answers.
Basically, anyone can take part in the PATRON CleanUP Tour, and it's free of charge, because every effort counts!
Not in the area? Then get started on your own doorstep and organise your own private CleanUP.
To enable you to give something back to Mother Nature, we provide you with tips for a nature-friendly stay and a safe CleanUP in the great outdoors.
We have developed the 10 key ideas for a PATRON CleanUP together with our partners from the Albrecht von Dewitz Foundation and outdooractive.

We met up with Daniel Schwarz to find out more about Lake Constance and talk about the problem of waste. He is an area manager for BUND Nature Conservation in the district of Lindau and talks about the special features and challenges of Lake Constance. Lake Constance is the third largest inland lake in Europe, is home to many rare animal and plant species and is also a source of drinking water for millions of people. However, climate change and the problem of waste give Daniel Schwarz cause for concern: Especially after floods, more and more trash can be found on the lake shore, which is washed off the ground more quickly by heavy rainfall and thus ends up in the water. Daniel Schwarz also told us which waste is particularly common and also has a huge impact on the water and the creatures on and in the lake. It is polystyrene. Because it is so light and decomposes quickly into small pieces, it quickly finds its way into Lake Constance via the wind or tributaries. As area manager, Daniel Schwarz is responsible for visitor guidance and organises regular waste collection campaigns. For him, it is important to draw attention to this and to get involved in campaigns such as the Lake Constance CleanUP Days.
"Every strong tree was once a small plant and every great action begins with a small gesture."
