In an optimistic mood, we have set ourselves the goal of motivating over 10,000 people to collect waste in 2023. The result? We broke the record and almost doubled our target - thanks to you PATRONs. Below you see the overall impact we achieved together last year:
From the beginning of the year to the end: where have we been together and what have we achieved?
For the third time in a row, we travelled to the Black Forest from 17 - 23 April 2023. And along with us, another 3,500 participants who decided to give something back to nature. Together, we were able to clear 1,500 kilometres of litter.
From 17 - 26 May 2023, the Zweckverband für Abfallwirtschaft Kempten (ZAK) called on schools to take the classroom outside. Around 5,000 pupils set off and cleaned up around 1,000 kilometres during the campaign.
From 17 - 20 May 2023, 650 PATRONs were on the road in Tyrol. Their impact? A total of 1,250 kilometres were covered and cleared of rubbish.
After Tyrol, Lake Constance was also a stop on the CleanUP Tour 2023 for the second time. Around 2,200 participants cleaned up 650 kilometres of the shoreline between 19 and 24 June.
From 7 - 16 July 2023, the CleanUP Days took place for the fifth time in the Allgäu - but for the first time extended from the Allgäu Alps CleanUP Days to the entire Allgäu. Over 1,400 kilometres, 1,350 PATRONs were on the move to free the Allgäu's nature from waste and thus preserve it.
After the CleanUP Days in Montafon inspired people to do their bit in 2021 and 2022, the first CleanUP Days from 6 - 9 September 2023 called on people throughout Vorarlberg to go out and collect litter. 420 participants responded to the call and cleaned up around 650 kilometres.
First time as a tour stop and such an impact! We are still thrilled! From 13 - 16 September 2023, 2,500 PATRONs covered 1,750 kilometres to collect the waste left behind and thus made a major contribution.
Bosch BKK and DMG MORI once again called for the 'Waste-free Allgäu' challenge in the Upper and Eastern Allgäu from 23 September to 8 October 2023. Challenge accepted! Around 2,300 pupils, employees and other participants from schools and companies in the Allgäu region responded to the call. Together they covered 2,850 kilometres collecting rubbish.
For the first time, from 29 September to 1 October 2023, we were not drawn to the mountains, but to the sea, because rubbish unfortunately remains everywhere and is known to be washed up on the beaches by the water. We set off with 100 PATRONs and cleaned up 120 kilometres of Sylt's beach.
If you thought you could only collect rubbish on foot, you were wrong. Because you can do it just as well on a bike. Between 16 and 22 October, 80 participants covered 300 kilometres, getting off their bikes again and again to collect the rubbish along the way.
