Allgäu CleanUP Days

Eight times in the Allgäu Alps, and now for the sixth time as a non-profit organisation. The Allgäu CleanUP Days will take place from 3 to 12 July 2026: pick up a CleanUP kit, sign up, and help rid the countryside of the Allgäu and Kleinwalsertal of litter. If you don’t want to set off on your own, there are guided CleanUP hikes. We’re also inviting you to workshops and a get-together to find out more, share ideas and get involved. Mark the date in your calendar and do something good for nature!

The Allgäu is our home. Its rugged peaks and green valleys are home to breathtaking natural sites. Since 2024, the Kleinwalsertal has also been part of the Allgäu CleanUP Days. Together with our partners, we pursue one goal: to preserve the originality and beauty of this unique natural environment for future generations. Step by step closer to our vision of #plasticfreepeaks!

GUIDED CleanUP

Don't want to set off on your own and prefer to join a guided hike including CleanUP instead?

That is also possible. The guided tours and their meeting point and route are listed separately on the CleanUP Map. Become part of the group, meet like-minded people, get to know the region for the first time or better and lend a hand.

During the Allgäu CleanUP Days, we met with Theresa Hilber, a ranger in the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park, and talked to her about protected areas and nature-friendly activities. What are the special features and challenges in the nature park area? What does it actually mean to be ‘nature-friendly’ when you're outdoors? What is bivouacking all about? What are the tasks of the rangers in the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park? And did you know that human waste can have unexpected effects on flora and fauna? Basically, good interaction with nature and between people is important to the rangers and they stand up for this, which is why they also find the Allgäu CleanUP Days worth supporting. Because they create awareness. Theresa recommends that the next time you're out in nature, don't just use it as a backdrop, but take in everything and see what beautiful things there are to discover along the way. And if you get to know nature better, you might feel the protective instinct in you (even) more. Nature will thank you for it.
